Abstract Emissions from a diesel engine are dangerous to the environment and human health. Substitutable fuels renewable source one of alternatives reduce emissions. Neat biodiesel based palm oil (B100) can emissions higher oxygen content be more complete combustion. The disadvantage neat is lower thermal efficiency an advancement ignition. To improve this problem, adding bioethanol produced agriculture products into by weight ratio as B100E5 (95% B100 with 5% bioethanol) B100E10 (90% 10% bioethanol). Hence, focus research examine combustion emission characteristics, including performance, blends (B100E5 B100E10) compared (B100). All samples were tested at load 140 NM constant speeds 1000, 1500, 2000 RPM on engine. results indicate that pressure in cylinder rate heat release increase increasing percentages bioethanol. shows highest brake efficiency. smoke intensity reduced than 50% when fuel, NOx fuels.
